Part Two of Webcast Series to Provide IT Consulting Advice, Online Chat Sessions from Industry Expert

May 1, 2000

MENLO PARK, CA -- RHI Consulting today resumes "Power Consulting for the Millennium," the second half of a webcast series developed for those interested in or currently pursuing careers in technology consulting. The video segments will be broadcast on the RHI Consulting web site (www.rhic.com) and will feature new topics each Monday at 8 p.m. EDT beginning today, May 1, 2000, through May 15. The May 1 and May 15 programs will be followed immediately by a one-hour online career chat with Greg Scileppi, executive director of RHI Consulting, on the CareerPath.com web site (www.careerpath.com).

The webcasts feature successful consulting strategies and timely advice on managing an IT consulting career, from effective teamwork and communication to troubleshooting tips.

Some highlights from the RHI Consulting Webcasts:

  • Developing a Desk-side Manner: "Like doctors, technology professionals often have to diplomatically translate technical jargon to a non-technical audience. Your industry experience and technical expertise are key factors, but don't underestimate the importance of "soft skills" -- your communication abilities and business acumen."
  • Troubleshooting with Finesse: "Nearly all consultants face a challenging workplace scenario at some point in their careers, and it can rattle the composure of even the most seasoned professional. The good news is there are some relatively easy ways to prevent this situation from occurring."
